Programs in ferroic materials and structures

Ferroic materials studied in this program covers piezoelectric materials, shape memory alloys, smart hydrogels, and magnetostrictive materials. Fracture and damage behaviour of the these functional materials are particularly explored. Developing computational techniques for analysing and simulatiing multifield coupling performance of these materials. Identification of Material properties using hybrid inverse method is also an area of the program.
